About Escape Games
Escape games put you in a locked room, a prison cell, a strange house or a whole mystery world, and give you one task: find a way out. Every object might be a clue, and every code you crack opens the next door.
Types of escape games
- Classic escape rooms: search every corner, combine items and solve lock puzzles to open the door.
- Prison and jailbreak games: plan your route, trick the guards and break out without getting caught.
- Story escapes and point-and-click adventures: explore several rooms and uncover what happened there.
- Action escapes: run, jump and dodge traps to reach the exit before time runs out.
- Puzzle escapes: logic, pattern and number puzzles where your brain is the only key you need.
How to play
Most escape games are played with the mouse or touch: click objects to inspect them, drag items from your inventory onto things in the room, and enter codes on keypads. Action escapes use the arrow keys or WASD. A notepad (or your phone's camera) is handy for writing down codes and symbols.
Tips when you are stuck
Click everything twice β some objects hide clues on the back or underneath. Look for repeated colours, numbers or shapes, since they usually belong together. If you have an item you have not used yet, the answer probably involves it.
Escape games are great for players who like to think rather than react fast. They are free, need no download, and many save your progress so you can finish later.
